The EmpowerED: Preparing for Postsecondary Advocacy Initiative aims to equip high school students in Ontario with the knowledge and resources they need to make informed decisions about their postsecondary education. Our campaign covers various aspects of postsecondary preparation, including financial fitness, choosing the right institution, and successfully transitioning to higher education.
Financial Fitness
In this campaign, students gain insights into managing their finances for postsecondary education. We will offer budgeting advice, provide information on various financial aid options, explore scholarship opportunities, and discuss the implications of taking out student loans.

Choosing the right institution is a pivotal step in students’ academic journey. Our campaign will provide a comprehensive guide to assist students in selecting the right institutions that meets their needs. This guide will equip students to consider factors such as program offerings, campus location, institution size, research or work opportunities, and campus culture.
application and transition
As the time approaches for application submissions, our campaign will provide students with detailed guidance on the application process, including crafting personal statements, securing recommendation letters, and adhering to deadlines. We will offer insights into how to prepare for a successful transition into postsecondary, including time management, effective study skills, and access to mental health support.
